The class of 2022 represented some of the many strands that weave together into the tapestry of Kentucky music. The latest inductees, in alphabetical order, are: Opry vocalist Norah Lee Allen; country artist Marty Brown; the late Bluegrass songwriter Pete Goble; Platinum-awarded country star Carly Pearce; steel guitar virtuoso Tommy White; the late ‘Certified Guitar Player’ Paul Yandell and blues singer and guitarist Tee Dee Young.
Kentucky radio legend Jack Pattie received the Karl Shannon Legacy Award. Ricky Scaggs, Connie Smith and Steve Wariner were among the surprise guests to take the stage during the gala event.
Kudos to the excellent job done by Jessica Blankenship, Executive Director of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and her staff, for ‘herding cats’ and keeping everything flowing smoothly throughout the show.
A visit to the Hall of Fame and Museum, located in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, should be on your bucket list to check out their collection of artifacts and memorabilia.
