The official music video for “Seventeen” was released a week later and has already surpassed 1.2 million views. “Seventeen” is from her 11-track album, I’m Not Who You Think I Am, due out May 2 via Lee Brice‘s imprint, Pump House Records. “When I wrote ‘Seventeen’ almost 20 years ago, I had no idea that I was penning a song for my future self,” shares Howard. “This song has just the right amount of longing and nostalgia to fill my heart to the brim. I’m instantly transported to my youth…a more innocent time, when my parents were annoyingly right all the time. It’s humbling to reflect on how far I’ve come and how many ups and downs I’ve survived along the way since then. They say you can’t go back, oh but I do, every time I sing this song.” Follow Rebecca Lynn Howard at Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, Spotify and TikTok.
WILLIE NELSON

WILLIE NELSON: Legacy Recordings is set to release Willie Nelson’s latest studio album, his 77th solo studio album and 154th overall. Oh What A Beautiful World will be available on April 25th, just in time for his 92nd birthday. Pre-save the album here. The album is the latest in Willie’s storied history of focusing entire records on a single songwriter’s work, this time featuring new interpretations of 12 classic songs written or cowritten by Rodney Crowell.
The first single is “Oh What A Beautiful World,” featuring Rodney Crowell himself in a duet with Willie. Listen to the single here. Originally appearing as the closing track on Crowell’s 2014 opus Tarpaper Sky, the song evokes the poignancy of passing time. Rodney and Willie’s new interpretation shares a fresh sense of the deep human need to appreciate the beauty in each moment life has to offer.
The two Texas singer-songwriters’ careers have often intersected, beginning with Crowell first hearing Nelson’s earliest songs on the radio and seeing his shows in Houston in the mid 1960s. Willie first recorded a Rodney Crowell song in 1983 and last did so 40 years later for 2024’s The Border.
Oh What A Beautiful World was produced by longtime musical collaborator Buddy Cannon and showcases an esteemed studio band. More about Willie Nelson here. #WillieNelson #RodneyCrowell

TRACE ADKINS

TRACE ADKINS: Multi-Platinum entertainer and TV/film actor Trace Adkins has released a brand-new song titled “That Someday” (listen here). This dusty revenge ballad notably accompanies his role as “Big Buck” in the new action film, Day of Reckoning — in theaters now. Capturing the spirit of the movie, Adkins personally penned the song with frequent collaborator and co-writer Casey Beathard (Eric Church, George Strait, Kenny Chesney), while Mickey Jack Cones (Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan) produced the track. Fittingly, it also plays during the closing credits, delivering a powerful final word.
On “That Someday,” a stately clean guitar melody resounds over soft feedback accented by slide and dobro. A big screen-worthy tale unfolds across the verses until the climactic chorus where Adkins declares, “Today is that someday, that one day I’ve been waiting on, that what goes around comes back around time to face the music song.” At the same time, he issues a warning, “The devil’s darkest fear is finally here.” Following a powerful bridge, a wailing guitar solo cuts through a wall of reverb in dramatic fashion. Watch the official music video directed by the movie’s same director, Shaun Silva, and released in conjunction with the film.
Additionally, Adkins has kicked off his headlining What Color’s Your Wild Tour. Find tour and ticket info here.

“Household” was written alongside Casey Brown, Lydia Vaughan and Parker Welling and produced by hitmaker Joey Moi. The fiery new track depicts the strain of a tumultuous relationship and cleverly asks: How much Hell can a house hold? The new song follows the release of “Those Kind Of Women,” which kicked off the chapter of new music from Alaina. The song’s music video was the official announcement of her pregnancy, which she discussed with endearing candor on The Kelly Clarkson Show and Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe. WALKER MONTGOMERY

WALKER MONTGOMERY isn’t wasting any time on melodramatic goodbyes on his latest single, the rowdy “Almost, So Close, So Long, Goodbye,” available now on all streaming platforms here and is featured on Radio Sobro’s “NuMu Friday.” Penned by Ryan Beaver, Bart Butler, Jessie Jo Dillon and Matt McGinn, the irreverent “kicker” dispenses with the niceties and drawn-out-drama of belabored goodbyes in favor of a trip straight to the honky- tonk.
“When you know it’s time to say goodbye in a relationship, you’ve gotta grab your buddies and go have a good time. This is a perfect two-steppin’, boot-scootin’ song that everyone needs on a night out,” says Montgomery.
The fun-filled tune even works in a classic George Strait song mention with its “Easy Come, Easy Go” reference, as Walker settles on civility and avoids the fight in favor of a cold beer at his favorite hangout. The stone cold country tune includes some sizzling picking and top level musicianship as well, and is sure to be a fast favorite of fans of traditional, old school country everywhere. Montgomery is gearing up for a busy summer on the road, with more music to come from the country up-and-comer soon. Written by Josh Miller, Summer Overstreet and Jordan Reynolds, “3,2,1” tells the story of regret and missed chances: “3 words, 2 late, damn girl you’re the one that got away.” The song’s clever turns of phrase and infectious melody positions Wetmore “just a heartbeat away from being a household hit” (Country Central). Watch the lyric video here.
The radio success comes just weeks before his debut album What Not To drops on Friday, April 25. The upcoming 19-song collection encapsulates the highs, lows and lessons learned in Wetmore’s 25 years. Produced by Chris LaCorte, the record weaves together interconnected themes, “like red yarn connecting a bunch of pins on a wall,” as Wetmore describes it. At its core is the title-track, “What Not To,” a song about struggle, compassion and salvation. “Momma said you don’t pray no more/breaks my heart, so I do it for you,” Wetmore sings in the title track. Pre-Order/Pre-Save What Not To here.
Wetmore’s Platinum-certified No.1 hit single “Wind Up Missin’ You” dominated the charts, earning him an iHeartRadio Music Awards nomination for Best New Country Artist
