Ashley McBryde brought her band to Analog at Nashville’s Hutton Hotel on August 30 to play her new album in its entirety. The project, titled The Devil I Know, is set for release September 8 via all digital platforms.
The Hutton was packed with friends, family and music industry people at the event hosted by Warner Music Nashville.
In her opening remarks, WMN Co-Chair & Co-President Cris Lacy mentioned just some of Ashley’s notable achievements and recognitions, including two CMA Awards, and two ACM Awards and nominations for six Grammy Awards, and a win for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Never Wanted to Be That Girl,” with Carly Pearce in 2023.
“The New York Times calls her Country’s most down-to-earth songwriter,” said Lacy. “The LA Times [calls her] ‘one of Nashville’s most reliable and sophisticated songwriters’ and Billboard magazine has dubbed her ‘one of Country’s greatest storytellers without ever compromising.’ The Devil I know has already been named one of the most anticipated albums by New York magazine and the LA Times, while ‘Light On In The Kitchen’ landed on Rolling Stones all-genre Best Songs of 2023 so far.”

Grammy Award-winning southern rock, blues and country group The Kentucky Headhunters have officially made their debut on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry.
Wait, what?!
That has to be a misprint, surely. Three decades at the top of their game and it wasn’t until December 2021 that the Headhunters made it to the Opry? Well, it might be hard to believe but yes, it’s true.
However, they almost played the Opry way back at the beginning of the band’s climb to stardom. Apparently, bluegrass icon Bill Monroe was impressed with their debut album, Pickin’ on Nashville, and suggested that the Opry invite them to appear. In an interview with the Nashville Tennessean, Headhunters co-founder Richard Young said, “I wasn’t there, [but] it was said that Roy Acuff said, ‘They’re probably pretty good boys. They’ll do a fine job, but let’s get ’em a haircut first.”
Much as they would have loved to appear at the Opry, those long-haired country boys weren’t about to get a haircut, even for Mr. Acuff. They weren’t asked again – at least, not for thirty years. They finally stepped onto the Opry stage as 2021 drew to a close, long hair still uncut but a little greyer than it used to be.

When the 2019 CMA Fest got under way on Thursday, June 06, country music fans were fired up and ready for almost 100 performances on eleven stages across downtown Nashville.
Now in its 48th year, the annual CMA Fest began as Fan Fair in 1972, initially staged at the Municipal Auditorium. the festival moved to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in 1982. Fan Fair became the extravaganza we know it today when it was officially renamed the CMA Music Festival in 2004 and by then it was expanding to more venues including Bridgestone Arena, Riverfront Park and what is now Nissan Stadium. The name was later shortened to CMA Fest, attracting fans from 40+ countries every year.
Trisha Yearwood show featured songwriters
On Day One of the festival, fans were treated to performances from many of their favorite artists with music from morning to night. Trisha Yearwood opened the CMA Close Up Stage for Thursday’s special Artist of the Day session at Xfinity Fan Fair X (an event named to honor the festival’s original title) with songwriters featured on her forthcoming album including Ashley McBryde, Karyn Rochelle and Lucie Silvas. The venue also featured ‘meet and greets’ and prize giveaways.
Randy Houser and Chase Rice headlined the Firestone Country Roads Stage at Ascend Amphitheater Presented by BBR Music Group. Also on stage were Warner Brothers artist Michael Ray and BBR Music Group’s Jimmie Allen and super guitarist and talent Lindsey Ell.

‘Hannah’ new single from Tom Mackell EP

Fusing elements of classic Americana and outlaw country revival with youthful sincerity, ‘Hannah’ explores an old country adage through the lens of a millennial songwriter. Despite the challenges that inspired the song, Mackell has managed to turn 2018 into a banner year musically, crafting a new album on which ‘Hannah’ will appear, in addition to touring with 90’s stalwart Sister Hazel and securing forthcoming dates with ‘The Voice’ alum Tony Lucca.
